The family business Houtvezelhandel Honingh has a long history of wood.
We only use carefully selected raw materials. The raw materials consist of 100% softwood and are untreated (guaranteed). The products are produced in-house on the basis of a specialised production process. In state-of-the-art closed installations, a brilliantly pure product is produced after sieving and removing dust. We’ve been in business for more than half a century.
In 1928, our grandparents began producing smoking wood and wood dust for smoking fish according to traditional recipes. Right from the outset, the products we produced were down-to-earth and natural. And we’ve continued to maintain these high standards.
We still work with wood: beautiful, alive and genuinely natural material; only today we make superior, top-quality wood fibre products from it. These are used as litter to cover the ground in the agricultural and industrial sectors, as well as for cattle breeding. The products are suitable for animals of all sizes, big and small. We only supply products to the wholesale trade, distributive trade and agricultural companies.

The woodchips or wood shavings supplied by Houtvezelhandel Honingh are suitable for use as litter for all kinds of animals, especially horses, chickens and other livestock.
Sawdust supplied by Houtvezelhandel Honingh is the hygienic solution for dairy farmers and pig farmers. The most important property it has is that it optimally binds liquids and odours.
Flax is especially suitable for use in stables. Houtvezelhandel Honingh supplies it in a dust-free, fully compostable and environmentally friendly form.
The wood fibre produced in our own factory can be used as litter in chicken runs or horse stables, or in cages for pets (incl. rodents). Wood fibre is also the most widely used product at poultry farms.
